Group Four offers multiple types of LVDT’s, but our most common are the AC/AC and DC/DC versions. These units can be purchased with either unguided, captive or spring return armature. Our DC to DC LVDT transducer has all of the benefits of the LVDT sensor principle with the added convenience of built-in LVDT electronics enabling a DC supply and DC output. Group Four offers LVDT and LVIT transducers for applications including Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Cylinder Position, Energy and Power Generation, Subsea and Marine Hydraulics.

LVDT and LVIT ,are for displacement/position measurement. These transducer uses the Linear Variable Differential Transducers (LVDT) as well as Linear Variable Inductance Transducer (LVIT) principle and provide for the most robust and reliable position sensor type available. The strength of the LVDT sensor’s principle is that there is no electrical contact across the transducer position sensing element which, for the user of the sensor, means:

  • Clean data
  • Infinite resolution
  • Exceptionally long life
